Imperial Fringe Online Game Chat Session Log 26.01.2003
21:13:12 - Kit: Now for Traveller. It looks like the others won't show up.
Too bad, really. Can I do one thing with Kit though? While we wait for Pin... to show up and cause trouble?
21:16:10 - Methuslah: Sure.
21:16:12 - Kit just entered this channel
21:16:46 - Kit: Ok: I'll jury Rig a coffee machine and make some coffe!!
21:17:32 - Kit: I have been awake and without a drop of coffee since we set out on that aquatic safari on Trane a LOONG time ago.
21:17:40 - Methuslah: OK. Roll 5 or over to jury-rig a coffee machine.
21:17:54 - Kit: I need that Coffee NOW!!
21:18:03 - Kit: 2D6: 8
21:18:42 - Methuslah: The machine creates a cup of coffee. No cream or sugar avaliable, however, and only plastic cups.
21:18:45 - Kit: If I can't find some coffee in the cargo bay, I will use my emergency reserve in my pack.
21:19:32 - Kit: I guess I can live with that. Aahhh! Great. (Settling back into the most comfortable position I can, and drinking the coffee)
21:19:46 - Methuslah: IT is standard navy issue, however, bitter and deep black.
21:20:13 - Kit: OK, NOW the world can throw it's worst at me. I'm prepared for anything.
21:20:43 - Kit: (And I'm ignoring any peculiar stares the others may give to my comment)
21:21:39 - Methuslah: A group of the marines gather round, and begin to draw their own cups of coffee.
21:22:37 - Kit: No Problem, as long as I have my cup I#m quite willing to share.
21:23:19 - Kit: I guess I'll crnak out one of my more interesting "life stories" to lighten the mood and boost morale.
21:24:12 - Methuslah: Shame the others aren't here. I've been checking my emails, but no word.
21:24:25 - Kit: That reminds me of my time on xyz where we ran out of coffee and experimented with a selection of local fauna for some interesting experiences...
21:25:23 - Kit: There was this one mushroom like shrub that tasted like roasted coffee. According to our botanist it was harmless and edible, but...
21:27:16 - Kit: we eventually discovered that in combination to some otherwise harmless medicine one of our team was taking, it causes severe... well... WIND production. The poor guy.
21:27:32 - Methuslah: "Er, what happened, ma'am.", croaks one yound marine.
21:28:38 - Kit: When a storm came up we had to seal up our suits. And he had the pleasure of experiencing some interesting olifactory end products of his gastronic system.
21:29:27 - Kit: You see, he was the one person in the team terribbly conscious about personal hygene, always carrying around deodorants to cover any even slightly unpleasant smell.
21:30:08 - Kit: And He had no chance to clean his suit for months. Do you have aŽny Idea, how long that smell lasted!?
21:30:11 - Methuslah: "Hey! Wish that'd happen to the Wasp!"
21:30:20 - Methuslah: The group bursts out in laughter.
21:31:42 - Kit: (Kit sips her coffee, grinning to herself. Mission Morale boost accomplished)
21:32:50 - Kit: (I'll continue to crank out stories of the funny type, and of the type where I managed to survive against incredible odds)
21:33:38 - Methuslah: The group sits around, in rapt attention to your tales.
21:34:54 - Kit: (I do take care though, that the perimeter patrols are kept up and everyone is battle ready!)
21:35:26 - Kit: (btw, how is the KID doing? he should be in here as well)
21:35:51 - Kit: (as well as our prisoner, the wounded station commander and Silvaa)
21:36:25 - Methuslah: The others fared less well than Stewart. All three of them are on respirators.
21:37:21 - Kit: (OK, I will check on them occasionally and offer my help to the medic)
21:38:13 - Methuslah: The medical team is handling things reasonably at the moment. Even the extra wounded has not stretched their capactiy.
21:39:31 - Kit: (Otherwise I'll keep the capable troops in good morale and also prepare for the evantuality that I might have to take over command (I do hope that won't happen, but better to be prepared) by inspiring loyalty and establishing basic authority)
21:43:06 - Kit: Too bad the others aren't here.
21:44:35 - Methuslah: Yeah, it really is a pity. Hope they show up next week, and sorry about tonight.
21:45:06 - Kit: Oh well, I got my coffee. I'll be allright!
