Although Kraiger is physically unimposing, a second glace reveals the hardened frame of a marathon runner. He is skilled in most forms of armed and unarmed combat, and in addition, has all the skills necessary to move quietly, observe without being seen, and to survive in almost any terrain. He is 39 years old, 5'9" tall, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Kraiger spent the majority of his career in the Imperial Commandos, and was the only student from the Glisten Officers Academy to be promoted to Captain in just four years. He is reluctant to talk too much about his past, but you can gather that he spent most of his time on various planets in the Glisten and District 268 Subsectors.

While generally good humoured, Kraiger becomes quiet and obviously angry if the conversation turns to religion. It seems that something in his past has made him very bitter towards organised religions and fanaticism.
